TAMPA, Fla. – Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will be party central for all things south of the border in celebration of Cinco de Mayo, with $5 blackjack all day and food and beverage specials in all of its bars and restaurants.
In the new Hard Rock Cafe on May 5 from 4 p.m. until midnight there’ll be crunchy tacos and cheese quesadillas for only $5 and chips and salsa for $3 until Midnight to wash down with a cold margarita or Corona Light for only $2.50 from 4 p.m. until 4am. Party band, The Current, will fiesta free on stage from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m., and DJ Chris Craze will keep the party going until 4 a.m.
The Fresh Harvest restaurant’s Cinco de Mayo Celebration from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. ($22 for members of the Seminole Players Club; $27 non-members) will add special Mexican dishes to its super buffet stations, including: slow smoked ribs with Tequila lime BBQ, chicken empanadas, marinated steak and chicken fajitas, fried churros, chicken enchiladas, cheese quesadillas, Poblano seafood chili rellenos, chorizo alfredo raviolis, Italian pork tamales, black bean bisque, fiesta corn, refried beans, and of course, fried ice cream for dessert!
Everywhere in the casino, bars, restaurants, and even in the Hard Rock Cafe, Corona Light cervezas and House Margaritas will be served for only $2.50 each, all day and night -- only on Cinco de Mayo.
The Hard Rock Cafe Tampa is the first in the world that not only offers great food and music but also features gaming, with the popular Hard Rock Girl Blackjack pit and dancers five nights a week, Wednesdays through Sundays from 6 p.m. - 2 a.m. Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday is cause for celebration in the new Hard Rock Cafe Tampa, with live music from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m., followed by DJ mash-ups.
Cinco de Mayo, or the Fifth of May, is celebrated all over the world. In Mexico, families, friends and neighbors gather to have a fiesta in honor of the event. This festival observes the May 5, 1862 he Battle of Puebla victory of 4,000 ill-equipped Mexicans over 8,000 well-outfitted and armed French invaders. Today, even "gringos" -- who have little idea why they’re celebrating Cinco de Mayo – party on this day each year.
